What is the best way to store and charge batteries?
Proper storage is important to a battery’s long service life. A battery should always be removed from a cordless device before being stored. Therefore, always store the battery separate from your cordless tool. When storing batteries, make sure that they are kept in a dry place away from sunlight. If you want to store your battery for an extended period, charge it to a capacity of approx. 60 %. In general, all FLEX batteries are protected against deep discharge.
Lithium-ion batteries do not have the well-known "memory effect" A battery should nevertheless be fully discharged before charging, and the charging process should always be fully completed. Overnight battery charging is possible, but we recommend removing the battery no later than one hour after the charging process is complete. In general, you should make sure that the charger is not permanently connected to the power supply and that it is also disconnected from the power supply after the charging process. Also make sure that the temperatures are between 0 °C and 40 °C during the charging process.
