Steinheim, October 2024 - FLEX-Elektrowerkzeuge GmbH presents three new 18 V cordless polishers for paint work, vehicle preparation and ship and aircraft maintenance. Handy, powerful and yet lightweight, the three new 18 V cordless polishers are just as powerful as corded tools and offer the right solution for every job: Powerful and fast work progress with the PE 150 18-EC for example to remove scratches, eccentric free-running with the XFE 15 150 18-EC for finishing or both work steps in one with the XCE 8 150 18-EC.
FLEX-Elektrowerkzeuge GmbH has developed the three new 18 V cordless polishers specially for painters, vehicle preparation and for ship and aircraft maintenance. These powerful polishers therefore offer an ideal combination of powerful performance, optimum ergonomics and long-lasting efficiency.
The power trio for efficiency, ergonomics and durability
As a rotary tool with a backing pad diameter of up to 150 mm and 18 volts, the PE 150 18-EC provides powerful performance and very fast work progress. It is particularly suitable for quickly and effectively removing deep scratches, known as the "cut".
As a random-orbit tool with free-running electronics, the XFE 15 150 18-EC on the other hand provides the smoothest performance of this tools trio.
With a 15 mm stroke and the same backing pad diameter of up to 150 mm, it offers ideal tool properties for the "finish" as the second work step following the first cut with the PE 150 18-EC. "Random-orbit tools such as the XFE 15 150 18-EC are also becoming increasingly popular for paintwork in the caravanning sector because they are very gentle on the material," reveals Michael Karrer, Product Manager at FLEX-Elektrowerkzeuge GmbH.
And if you want just one work step instead of two, choose the XCE 8 150 18-EC as a combination of the first two tools with random-orbit motion and positive rotation with an 8 mm stroke.
Cordless polishing that makes no compromises
With their powerful, newly developed brushless motor, the FLEX cordless polishers offer a constant speed and consistently high performance over the entire battery life - without any drop in performance. Product Manager Michael Karrer emphasises that "It's worth noting that our cordless polishers offer the same power as corded machines, including constant speed control".
The optimised speed ranges enable faster work progress and flexible application options, while the material is also optimally protected.
Maximum ergonomics and simple operation
Besides the impressive performance, the polishers’ ergonomics have also been significantly improved. New gear heads ensure a significant reduction in vibrations and noise, which enables longer and fatigue-free working.
The tools have also been balance-optimised, which offers improved control and more comfort. Specially designed handle covers, a reduced handle circumference and positioning closer to the surface ensure maximum manoeuvrability and easy operation - even for precise work.
Innovative technology for more power & performance
The new FLEX 18 V cordless polishers impress not just with with their design but also thanks to their great efficiency. The powerful brushless motor was developed for maximum overload capacity and continuous operation. This is complemented by a throttle switch that allows a smooth and controlled start, as well as a locking function for additional working comfort.
In addition, an innovative spindle mechanism with a lower overall height simplifies operation and prevents accidental actuation of the switch. Another feature is a selector wheel operable from both sides and ideal for right-handed and left-handed users, which has detent points and allows precise and easily accessible speed adjustment - with optimum visibility of the selected values.
Handy, quiet and low vibration
To summarise, the new FLEX 18 V cordless polishers impress with their very handy design, low noise levels and low-vibration operation. Thanks to optimised ergonomics and perfectly balanced weight, they offer maximum comfort and control - ideal for precise high-gloss polishing, scratch removal or routine paint care for a wide variety of paint types.
The three new 18 V cordless polishers PE 150 18-EC, XFE 15 150 18-EC and XCE 8 150 18-EC are now available in stores for 399 Euros plus VAT for the solo tool in a box, or as a set including quick charger with two 18 V battery packs (5.0 Ah) for 409 Euros plus VAT. They can be used with either the 2.5 Ah, 5.0 Ah or 8.0 Ah battery, but we recommend using the 5.0 Ah battery.
