New straight grinders from FLEX
Two types: cordless and corded
Steinheim, December 2022 – The FLEX-Elektrowerkzeuge GmbH range has something new in store for metal construction in the form of two innovative straight grinders, including for the first time a cordless straight grinder. The handy cordless tool DGE 25 18.0-EC comes with a variable speed setting and supports quick tool changing via a spindle lock. More proof of FLEX's extensive metal expertise comes in the shape of the latest corded variant, the FLEX straight grinder 800 W DGE 8-32. Both straight grinders are available now from dealers.
Whether they're for grinding, deburring, freehand milling, cutting, derusting in hard-to-reach places or for door openings: Straight grinders are still one of the most indispensable basic power tools. With the introduction of the cordless straight grinder, FLEX now offers the most extensive product range for metal construction. As one of the few cordless straight grinders on the market, the DGE 25 18.0-EC allows variable speed adjustment so that the application can be precisely matched to the area of use. The speed is preselected in four stages from 10,000 to 25,000 revolutions per minute. In addition, this new cordless power tool is one of just two models on the market that has a spindle lock, allowing a tool change to be completed in around 15 seconds. The gripping circumference of the cordless machine is only 147 millimetres, allowing good handling. Added safety during use is provided by the protective handle cover for safe guiding, a metal guard for optimum dust protection and a lockable On/Off switch on the side. The brushless 18.0 volt EC motor delivers maximum efficiency during use.
Clamping neck for stationary fixing
As a corded tool, the new FLEX DGE 8-32 straight grinder is also one of just two 230 V straight grinders on the market that has a spindle lock. It too allows a tool change in just a few seconds. Depending on the area of use, its speed can be continuously adjusted between 11,000 and 32,000 revolutions per minute. In contrast to its predecessor, the new straight grinder with 800 W motor has a handle cover for improved handling and user protection. Under the handle cover there is a 43 millimetre clamping neck that can be used either for stationary fixing or for attaching an additional handle. The slim grip circumference of only 210 millimetres is another plus. Both new FLEX straight grinders provide extensive work and tool protection, including soft start, restart protection, an anti-kickback function, overload protection, overheating protection and constant electronics. Both tools come supplied with a 6 mm chuck. 8 mm and ¼" chucks are available as accessories.
